Choose Your Notifications

Pick which activity reaches you by email or push, and who gets each alert in your organization.

Notifications decide which activity in your organization emails you or sends you a push alert, and who receives each alert. You find them on the Notifications page in settings. Every member can change their own email and push choices, and owners and members with Full access to Settings also choose who receives each activity.

Turn email or push notifications on or off

Turn off email or push for an activity to stop getting that alert.

  1. Open Notifications in settings.
  2. Find the activity you want to change, such as Quote accepted.
  3. Turn off the email or push setting you want to stop.

That activity stops sending you the alert you turned off, and each change saves as you make it.

Note

Each activity starts on for every method it supports, and email and push are checked separately, so turning off email leaves push on.

Choose who gets each notification

Change recipients when an activity needs to reach a different group of people.

  1. Open Notifications in settings.
  2. Find the activity, such as Invoice paid.
  3. Choose one of the recipient options described below.
  4. Select any members who also get it.

The activity goes to the recipients you set once the change saves.

Note

Only owners and members with Full access to Settings can change recipients. For the access levels, see Roles & Permissions.

Recipient options

Until you change an activity, it uses the default recipients.

  • Default: the recipients that activity uses on its own. For most activities that is every member of the organization. Upgrade requests go to owners and admins, and ticket activity can also reach JobWise staff assigned to the organization.
  • Every current member: everyone in the organization when the activity happens.
  • Owners and admins: the owner plus anyone with the admin role.
  • Only selected members: the members you pick, and nobody else.

Note

An activity set to only selected members with nobody picked reaches nobody.

Members you select receive the activity under every option. Members removed from the organization stop receiving it at once, and the member list leaves out your own account.

What each activity sends

Each activity lists only the email or push options it supports. Notification emails link back to this page from their footer, except the ticket closed email.

  • Customer rescheduled or cancelled a booking: a customer moves or cancels an online booking from the link in their confirmation. Email and push. See Let Customers Change a Booking.
