Set Up Recurring Jobs

Set a job to repeat on a schedule, so each visit is scheduled for you automatically.

A recurring job repeats the same work for one customer on a set schedule. JobWise creates each visit up to 14 days ahead. Schedules live on the Recurring page in the sidebar.

What each schedule creates

These settings control what each generated job does.

  • Generate an invoice for every visit creates a draft invoice dated the visit's day. It is finalized when it is emailed or charged.
  • Email the invoice to the customer appears only when invoices are on. It sends once the invoice is generated. If the charge goes through, the customer gets a receipt instead.
  • Auto-charge a saved payment method charges the saved card when the invoice is generated. Use Add payment method to save a card. To take a card payment by hand, see Collect a Card Payment.
  • A failed charge is retried 24 hours later, then 72 hours after that, and stops after three attempts.
  • Due in (days) sets the invoice due date, counted from the invoice date.
  • Generate a quote on the first visit creates a draft quote for the first visit.
  • Templates loads a saved checklist, and each job starts with its items unchecked.
  • Generated jobs lists the jobs the schedule created.
  • If generating a visit fails, the schedule stays active, and JobWise retries it on a later run.
