Share Your Booking Page

Send customers a link or add a booking widget to your website so they can pick their own time.

Customers pick a time on a booking page. Share the page as a link, or add it to your website as a widget. Pages live in Bookings.

Share the link so a customer can pick a time. Customers book without signing in.

  1. Find the page's card in Bookings.
  2. Click Copy link on the card.
  3. Paste the link into a message to the customer.

The link is on the clipboard.

Tip

Click Preview on the card to open the public page in a new tab.

Embed the booking page on your website

Add the widget to a page of your website so customers can book there.

  1. Click the page's card in Bookings to open it.
  2. In the Public link card, click Copy embed.
  3. Paste the code into the HTML of the website page.
<script src="https://<your JobWise Pro address>/embed.js" async></script>
<jobwise-booking page-id="<code for this page>"></jobwise-booking>

The embed code is on the clipboard.

The widget is an iframe that starts 560 pixels tall and grows with its content. The Use an iframe instead (legacy) section of the Public link card holds iframe code with a 560-pixel minimum height and no script line.

Note

The Copy embed button on a card in Bookings copies an iframe, not the widget. Use the one in the Public link card for the widget.

Change the title, description, or status

Change what customers read on the page, or turn the page off to stop bookings.

  1. Click the page's card in Bookings to open it.
  2. Click Edit details.
  3. In the dialog, change Title or Description.
    • To stop bookings, turn off Active.
  4. Click Save.

Customers see the new title on the public page. The description appears only above the service list, so a page with one service never shows it.

Note

While Active is off, customers cannot book, and the public link stops opening the booking page.

Delete a booking page

Delete a page to stop customers from booking through it.

  1. Click the page's card in Bookings to open it.
  2. In the danger zone, click Delete booking page.
  3. In the dialog, confirm the deletion.

The page no longer appears in Bookings.

Warning

Existing bookings stay, but the public link stops opening the booking page.

What customers see when they book

  • With more than one service, the first screen lists each service with its length and description. With one, the calendar opens first.
  • Past days and days with no open times are disabled. A day with one open time goes straight to the details.
  • Times show in the customer's browser time zone.
  • First name, Last name, Email, and Phone are required. Service address is required, optional, or hidden, depending on the service. Access notes appear only with the address. Additional information is optional.
  • Confirm booking stays disabled until the widget's security check passes, when one is set up.
  • A failed booking keeps what the customer typed and resets the security check. When the chosen time is the problem, the month's open times reload.
  • The confirmation shows the service name, the date, the time range, and the time zone, and says a confirmation email with a link to reschedule or cancel is on its way.
  • Open times come from the team members assigned to the service. A time is open when at least one is free and working, not on time off, and the day is not a company holiday. Members with no working hours are treated as working at all times. Working hours and time off count only when time tracking is on.
  • A time is refused when it is sooner than the minimum notice, later than the maximum advance days, or outside the weekly hours. Buffers count as busy time.
  • Service length, weekly hours, and team members are covered in Set Up Appointment Types.
  • The confirmation email carries a link the customer can use to reschedule or cancel. See Let Customers Change a Booking.

After a customer books

  • The booking goes to the first free assigned team member, who gets a calendar event. See Introduction to the Schedule.
  • The event title includes the customer's first and last name. Additional information becomes the event's notes, with access notes after them on an Access: line.
  • Each booking creates a new contact, even when the email matches an existing one. Staff merge duplicates by hand. See Merge Duplicate Contacts.
  • Booking requests from one address to one page are rate limited.
  • The voice line's text to unknown callers includes the page link only while the page is active and not deleted.

Who can use each action

  • Open the list or a page: view access to Bookings.
  • Create a page, edit details, add services, and duplicate a page: edit access to Bookings.
  • Delete a page and see the danger zone: full access to Bookings.

Role permissions are covered in Create and Edit Roles and Permissions.
