Create a Booking Form
Create a public booking form for customers to book your services, then change, duplicate, or delete it.
A booking form lets customers self-book on your team's calendar from a public link or embed. You make and manage forms on the Bookings page, which the navigation lists as Booking Forms.
Create a booking form
Use this to add a booking form that customers can book from. A new form starts active and has no services.
- Select New booking page.
- The button appears only with edit access to bookings.
- Enter a Title of up to 200 characters, replacing any text in the field.
- Enter a Description (optional) of up to 2000 characters, if you want one.
- Select Create.
The form's page opens with the Services section empty.
Add services next, as described in set up appointment types. To share the form, select Copy link in the Public link card on its page, as described in share your booking page.
Duplicate a booking form
Use this to start a new form from an existing one.
- Select Duplicate on the form's card in the list.
- The button appears only with edit access to bookings.
- Enter a Name for the new form.
- Select Duplicate in the dialog.
The new form's page opens.
A duplicate keeps the original's description and copies each service that has not been deleted, with its settings. Each copied service keeps its own Active setting. The copy starts active, even if the original is switched off.
Change a booking form
Use this to rename a form, change its description, or switch it on or off. You make these changes on the form's page.
- Select the form in the list.
- Select Edit details.
- Change the Title or the Description.
- To turn the form off, switch Active off.
- Select Save.
The Edit booking page dialog opens with the current values filled in. After you save, the dialog closes and the new title shows in the page header.
Delete a booking form
Use this to remove a form you no longer need.
- Select the form in the list.
- At the bottom of the form's page, select Delete booking page.
- The button appears only with full access to bookings.
- Select Confirm in the Delete booking page dialog.
The page returns to the list, and the form is no longer in it. The form's page can no longer be opened, and its public link returns a 404 error.
What each setting does
- Title: required, up to 200 characters.
- Description: optional, up to 2000 characters.
- Active: a new form starts active. A form that is switched off shows Inactive in the list. The setting is saved with the form.
- A customer who opens the public link or embed of a switched-off form gets a 404 error.
Who can do each action
- View the Bookings page and its forms: view access to bookings. The Booking Forms entry appears when you can see bookings.
- Create, change, or duplicate a form: edit access to bookings. The buttons for these appear only with edit access.
- Delete a form: full access to bookings.
- The owner has every permission.
For roles, see roles and permissions.
When the Booking Forms entry is locked
The Booking Forms entry is locked when your plan does not include both online booking and scheduling. The bookings pages need both. Creating, changing, duplicating, and deleting a form each check that your plan includes online booking.
For plan changes, see change your plan.
