Connect Stripe Payments
Connect Stripe so customers can pay invoices online, and review the fees that apply.
Connect a Stripe account so customers can pay invoices online. Connect, disconnect, and review fees on Settings > Online Payments.
Connect Stripe
Connecting opens Stripe's onboarding for your organization's Stripe account.
- Open Settings > Online Payments.
- Click Connect Stripe on the Payment Account card.
- If the card shows Resume setup, your Stripe setup is unfinished. Click Resume setup to continue with the same Stripe account.
- If the card shows Verify your email, verify your email first.
- Complete Stripe's onboarding on the Stripe page.
- If you leave Stripe before finishing, you return here and the card shows Resume setup.
- If the onboarding session expires, Stripe sends you back here. Click Resume setup to get a new link.
After you return here and Stripe confirms the account can take card payments, the card shows Connected, an Open Stripe dashboard button, and the Fees card appears.
Note
In the mobile app, Stripe's onboarding opens in an in-app browser. The app brings you back to this page when it finishes.
Disconnect Stripe
Disconnecting removes the Stripe connection from your organization and asks Stripe to delete the connected account.
Warning
Until you connect Stripe again, invoices cannot create or collect payments. Disconnecting also removes the saved cards on your contacts.
- Open Settings > Online Payments.
- Click Disconnect on the Payment Account card.
- Click Disconnect in the confirmation dialog.
The Payment Account card shows Connect Stripe again, and the Fees card no longer appears.
Fees
The Fees card appears once the account is connected.
- JobWise Pro fee: a percentage plus a fixed dollar amount per invoice.
- Card processing (Stripe): varies by payment method. See Stripe's pricing.
A custom rate applies when JobWise Pro sets one for your organization. Otherwise your subscription plan sets the rate.
The example below the rates uses a $500.00 card invoice. It shows the JobWise Pro fees on that invoice, adds Stripe's part, and shows the total. Stripe's part is always $14.80 in the example, which is 2.9% of $500.00 plus $0.30.
Only JobWise Pro staff can change the fee, and this page has no control for it.
This page has no payout setting. The Open Stripe dashboard button opens your connected Stripe account in a new tab.
Who can connect
Your role sets your access to settings. See Create and Edit Roles and Permissions for what each role can see and change.
- Opening this page needs access to settings.
- Connecting and disconnecting need full access to settings. Without full access, the card shows no connect button and no disconnect button.
- Connecting needs a verified email. Until your email is verified, the card shows Verify your email in place of the connect or resume button.
What connecting sets up

- The account is set up to take card payments.
- Stripe collects the account's fees and losses.
- The account gets full access to the Stripe Dashboard, which the Open Stripe dashboard button opens.
- Connecting after a disconnect creates a new Stripe account.
