Add Instant Quotes to Your Website

Copy your quote link or embed code, set how long quotes stay valid, and style the widget for your site.

Your instant quote tool has a public quote page that customers open from your link. This article covers the link, the code for your website, the widget look, and how long quotes stay valid.

Set your public URL slug

The Public URL Slug card sets the last part of your quote link. It sits on the Instant Quote Tool page, under the Settings tab.

  1. In the Slug field, after jobwisepro.com/get-quote/, type the name you want. Capitals become lowercase, spaces become dashes, and other symbols are removed as you type.
  2. Use 2 to 80 characters. Start with a letter or number, and don't end with a dash or put two dashes in a row.
  3. Click Save slug. The button stays off until the slug is valid and different from the saved one.

The page confirms a successful save. If a save fails, the page shows the reason. You can change your slug twice every 72 hours.

Warning

If you change a slug you already saved, the old link redirects to the new one for 14 days, then stops working. Embed codes and shared links with the old slug stop working when the redirect ends.

Open the Add to Website tab. The Add to your website card shows your embed code with your address and slug already filled in. It takes this form:

<script src="https://<your JobWise address>/embed.js" async></script>
<jobwise-instant-quote slug="your-slug"></jobwise-instant-quote>
  1. Click Copy code in the Add to your website card.
  2. Paste it where you want the quote tool, or send it to whoever manages your website.
  3. For a fixed-size embed, open Use a fixed-size embed instead and click its Copy code button.

Note

If no slug is saved, the code and link use a fallback code.

The Send it to customers card holds your link, which takes this form:

https://<your JobWise address>/get-quote/<slug>

Click Copy link, then text or email it to customers, or add it to your social bio.

Style the widget

Open the Instant Quote Tool page. Customize the Look holds the widget settings.

  1. In Widget logo, add a logo. The help text lists the accepted formats (PNG, JPG, WebP, or SVG) and a 5 MB limit. Leave it blank to use your brand logo.
  2. In Widget color, enter a six-digit hex color. Leave it blank to use your brand color. Other values aren't saved, and the page shows an error.
  3. Under Widget Theme, choose Light or Dark for how the widget renders against your color.
  4. Click Save widget appearance. The logo, color, and theme save together, and the button then reads Saved.

If the color is hard to read, the page warns that text and buttons will use a corrected shade. Your changes show in the Live preview panel.

Set how long quotes stay valid

The Quote Settings card holds the expiration setting. Only people with edit access to quoting tools see it.

  1. Find the Quote Settings card on the Settings tab.
  2. In Quote expiration (days), enter a number of days from 1 to 365. The field starts at your saved value, or at 30 if none is saved.
  3. Click Save changes in the Quote Settings card.

The button reads Saved for about 1.5 seconds after a successful save.

Each instant quote gets its valid-until date when the customer submits it: the submission day in your business's time zone plus the number of days set here. Changing the setting only affects quotes submitted afterwards, and quotes already sent keep their date.

The date shows on the customer's result screen, in the estimate email and text, and on the quote link page, which reads Expired once the date passes. Your team sees it on each quote in Quote Requests.

Note

Decimals are cut to whole days. A number outside 1 to 365 isn't saved, and the page shows a message.

What the live status means

The top of the Add to Website tab says whether your quote tool is live. When it is live, the text under that heading says every quote comes back as a lead.

Until then, the page asks you to finish the What to Fix Before Going Live checklist first. Items with a link are clickable, and the others are plain text.

Copy code and Copy link stay disabled until the tool is live.

The public quote page checks each customer's address against your service area and says whether you serve it. A customer outside your area cannot continue.

To change your area, see Set your service area. For an overview of the whole tool, read Introduction to Instant Quotes.

Who can see and change each setting

  • Customize the Look shows only with edit access to Settings.
