Add a Contact
Save a new contact with their name, phone, email, and addresses, then update those details as they change.
A contact holds a person's name, phone, email, company, notes, and addresses. Add a contact first, then update any of those details from the contact's page.
Add a contact
You can open the New Contact window from the sidebar or from the Contacts page.
- Open the New Contact window.
- Click the add button beside Contacts in the sidebar. The button appears only when your plan includes contacts and your role can edit them.
- Or click New contact on the Contacts page. The button appears only when your role can edit contacts.
- Enter the First name, Last name, and Email.
- Enter the Phone, Company name, or Notes if you have them.
- Click Add address to save an address with the contact, or skip this step.
- Enter the street address, city, state, and postal code.
- Click Remove to leave out the address.
- Click Create contact.
- If your plan's contact limit is full, the contact isn't saved, and the window stays open with your entries.
The window closes, and the new contact appears in the list. Any address you added is saved with the contact.
Note
The New Contact window doesn't check for an existing contact, so the same person can be added twice. To combine duplicates later, see Merge Duplicate Contacts.
To add many contacts from a file, click Import on the Contacts page. For the steps, read Import Contacts.
Edit a contact's details
Open a contact's page to edit their details. Your changes save when you click Update contact.

The Text messaging status on the edit form shows whether the contact is subscribed or has opted out. You can't change that status there.
To change notes, edit the Notes card on the contact's page. The card is editable only when your role can edit contacts.
Add an address to a contact
The New Contact form saves one address with the contact. Use the contact's page to add more.
- Click Add or Manage in the Addresses card.
- Add appears when the contact has no addresses. Manage appears when they have one or more.
- Or open More contact actions and click Manage addresses.
- The card button appears only when your role can edit contacts.
- Click Add address in the Manage Addresses window.
- Enter the Address line 1, City, State, and Postal code.
- All four fields are required.
- Enter Address line 2 or Country if you need them.
- Turn on Set as primary address or Dog on site if they apply.
- Click Add address at the bottom of the form.
The form closes, and the new address appears in the Manage Addresses window.
