Read Business Profile Performance
Find out how many customers call, visit, or book you from your Google listing, and how that changes over time.
The Business Profile page counts what customers do after they find your business on Google: phone calls, website visits, direction requests, bookings, and messages. Use it to see how many of those actions happen and whether the count is rising or falling.
Open the page
Opening the page needs view access to analytics for your role. Each role's access is set in Create and Edit Roles and Permissions. The page opens on the last 30 days.
- Open the Analytics group in the sidebar.
- Select Business Profile in that group.
The page opens on the overview: the Customer actions total at the top, a breakdown of the five actions below it, and the Customer Actions Over Time chart.
Change the period or listing
The period and listing you pick change every figure and chart on the page.
- In the page header, select 30 days, 90 days, or 12 months.
- 30 days shows daily figures, 90 days shows weekly figures, and 12 months shows monthly figures.
- If you have more than one listing, open the listing name dropdown in the page header and
select a listing.
- A listing with no name shows its Google location ID instead.
The total, the breakdown, and the chart all show the chosen listing and period.
See one action over time
The chart shows the total until you select one of the five actions.
- Select a row under What Makes Up the Total, or its colored part of the bar.
- Read the chart, which now carries that action's name in its title.
- Select Show everything in the chart header to return to the total.
- Selecting the same row again also returns to the total.
The chart shows one line, the selected row is highlighted, and the other parts of the bar fade.
Tip
The selected action stays in the page address, so a refresh or the browser back button keeps it.
Connect a Google listing
The page shows figures only when a Google listing is connected.
- If no Google listing is connected, select Go to settings.
- On the Analytics Settings page, choose the Google listing to
track.
- Tracking a listing needs full access to analytics.
The Business Profile page then shows figures for that listing.
Selecting a listing loads its history right away, instead of waiting for the nightly sync. Connecting the Google account itself is covered in Connect and Disconnect Google, QuickBooks, and Angi.
What each figure counts
- Customer actions: the sum of the five actions below, shown at the top of the page.
- Phone calls, Website visits, Direction requests, Bookings, and Messages are the five actions. Each is counted per day.
Each row shows its share of the total and its change from the period before. The period before is the same number of days immediately before the range. New replaces the percentage when the period before has no figures and the period on screen has some.
The caption under the chart gives its busiest day, week, or month and that period's count.
This page shows figures from your Google listing only.
How fresh the figures are
- The figures refresh each night at 3 AM in your business timezone.
- The first sync loads up to 365 days of history, so the 12-month view fills in after it.
- Each nightly sync pulls again from four days before the last successful sync, so a recent day can gain counts after it first shows.
- The page's last day is yesterday, so today's figures do not appear on it.
