Add a Form to Your Website

Show a contact form on your website with a paste-in code, or send visitors

You can show a contact form on your website with a short code, or send visitors to the form's own address. Each submission that passes the checks is saved to the form's responses.

Show the form on your website

Paste a short code into your site where you want the form to appear.

  1. Open the contact forms page and find the form.
  2. Select Preview on the form's card. The button appears only for published forms. The form's address ends with its code.
  3. Copy the two lines below into your page, where the form will appear.
<script src="https://<your JobWise Pro address>/embed.js" async></script>
<jobwise-contact-form form-id="<form code>"></jobwise-contact-form>

Replace the first placeholder with your JobWise Pro web address, leaving out https://. Replace the second with the code at the end of the form's address from step 2.

The form appears where you pasted the code. It resizes to fit its content.

Tip

To see the form before you add it, open the demo. Submitting the demo saves and sends nothing.

Send visitors to the form's own page when you want a link instead of code on your page.

  1. Select Preview on the form's card. The form opens in a new tab.
  2. Copy the form's address from your browser's address bar.
  3. Share the address, for example as a link on your website or in an email.

Visitors who open the address see the form on its own page, and the browser tab shows the form's name.

Warning

Unpublishing or deleting a form stops the form from showing at its address and wherever you pasted its code.

Choose the form your website uses

Pick the form customers fill out to reach you on your website.

  1. Open your website page.
  2. Find the Contact form card.
  3. Open the dropdown in the Contact form card and pick the form.

Your website uses the form you picked. The choice saves when you pick it.

Note

The dropdown lists only published forms, newest first. Changing the form needs edit access to the website.

What happens to a submission

A submission is saved only if it passes the checks below. To read saved submissions, select Responses on the form's card.

  • A form that is not published does not accept submissions.
  • A submission that fails the bot check is not saved.
  • A submission with too much data, including attached files, is rejected before it is saved.
  • A submission is not saved when one of its files fails to upload.
  • A consent box never blocks a submission. When the form has one, the submission records whether the visitor ticked it.
