[**Address review**](/go/routes/review) lists the contact addresses that the map couldn't place or hasn't checked yet. A job at a listed address is blocked from [route](/help/routes/introduction-to-routes) optimization until the map places that address. Correct each address and check it again so its job can be routed.

## Open the address review list

Open this list when a job can't be routed because its address hasn't been placed on the map.

**Address review** appears under **Routes** only for users who can edit all routes. Crews who can edit only their own route don't see it. Roles are covered in [Roles and permissions](/help/team/roles-and-permissions).

1. Click **Routes** in the sidebar.
2. Click [**Address review**](/go/routes/review).

The list shows each unresolved address with the contact's name, the address, and its status badge. When every address is placed, the page shows an empty state instead.

## Correct an address

Fix the address on the [contact](/help/contacts/introduction-to-contacts) it belongs to, because saving starts a new check on it.

1. Click **Edit address** on the address card. The contact's page opens with **Manage Addresses** open.
2. Click the pencil icon on the address you need to fix.
3. Correct the wrong part of the address in its fields.
   - If the **Search address** field appears, select the matching result to fill the fields.
4. Click **Update address**.

The address is saved, and the check runs in the background. Open [**Address review**](/go/routes/review) again to see the new status.

> **Tip:** On the address card, **View on map** opens the address in Google Maps in a new tab, so you can check it before you edit.

## Retry a check

Use **Retry** after you correct an address, because the check uses the address as it is saved.

1. Click **Retry** on the address card.
   - If Google can't complete the check, the address keeps its current status and the page shows an error.

When the map places the address, the card leaves the list. Otherwise the card stays and shows the status from the new check.

## Check several addresses with Verify all

Use **Verify all** after you correct several addresses, instead of retrying each one.

1. Click **Verify all** in the page header.
   - If Google can't complete a check, the run stops. Addresses checked before that keep their new status.

Addresses the map places leave the list. Click **Verify all** again to check more.

> **Note:** A check tries again when Google limits or rejects a request, or when the connection fails, up to three attempts in total.

## What each badge means

- **Couldn't locate**: the map found no match for the address. Correct the address, then click **Retry**.
- **Needs review**: the map found a match but isn't confident it is the right one. Correct the address if it's wrong, then click **Retry**. An address that stays here is not routable.
- **Not checked yet**: the map hasn't checked the address. Click **Retry** to check it.
- **Job waiting**: a job that is waiting to be scheduled, scheduled, or in progress uses this address. The badge appears next to the status badge, and these cards are listed first.

## Limits

- The list shows up to 200 addresses. When more are unresolved, the summary shows how many are listed out of the total.
- **Verify all** checks up to 100 unresolved addresses per click.
- Deleted addresses are not listed.
- **Retry** and **Verify all** need the same access as the page.
